Dressage Underway at Boekelo

New Zealand’s young gun eventing team is sitting in eighth spot on the Nations’ Cup leaderboard after the first day of dressage at the Boekelo Horse Trials in The Netherlands.

Samantha Lissington and Ricker Ridge Sooty GNZ is the best of the trio, witting in 16thon 31.1 penalty points with James Avery aboard One of a Kind in 32ndon 33.3 and Jesse Campbell with Cleveland on 34.4. Individual rider Bruce Haskell aboard Amiro Sky is in 43rdon 35.4 with the team alternate Dan Jocelyn, who is also riding as an individual, aboard Lissyegan Rory still to come.

Sandra Auffarth (GER) and Let’s Dance leads the 98-strong field on 24.9 with Germany also at the top of the team leaderboard on 78.1. The United States are in second on 89.7 and Japan in third on 90.2. The Kiwis are in eight on 98.8.
