Samantha McIntosh and James S have found good form at the CSI4* Casa Novas in Spain, winning the CSI4* Lallier Trophy 1.45m speed class and placing sixth in another. Twenty-eight combinations started the 1.45m speed class with Sam and James S flying home in 64.88 seconds. Their closest rival was Paola Amilibia (ESP) aboard Chac Balou N who stopped the clock at 65.84 seconds.

In the CSI4* Marques de Riscal Trophy 1.45m speed class, Sam and James placed sixth, coming home all clear in 58.67 seconds. The 28-strong class was won by Luca Maria Moneta (ITA) aboard Neptune Brecourt in 55.01.

Across the Atlantic, Sharn Wordley and Casper have placed eighth in the $134,000 CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix at the Tryon Equestrian Centre in the United States. Twenty-nine started the class with just six coming back for the jump-off where Alison Robitaille and Ace took the honours. Sharn and Casper had four faults in the opener.

Lily Tootill and Lisa Cubitt have been flying the New Zealand flag high at the Sentower Park CSI2*/CSI1*/CSIYH1* in Belgium. Lily and Ulysses NZPH placed second in the 73-strong CSI2* 1.45m Hippovibe Prix, coming home double clear in 34.46 seconds in a hugely competitive jump-off with Lisa ninth on Jack van het Dennehof. The class was won by Richard Howley (IRL) aboard Seahorse Z in 32.75 seconds.

Lisa also picked up two wins with Avalon du Carpont, winning the CSI2* 1.35m Prix, which attracted 48 other entries, and the CSI2* Step-up 1.35m Prix aboard Avalon du Carpont, heading home 70 other combinations. Lisa was second in the 112-strong CSI2* table A 1.40m qualifier aboard Warriors Glory and ninth with Jack van het Dennehof in the 1.45m CSI2* Grand Prix.

Earlier in the week, Lisa and Lady Angeles picked up a ribbon at the Longines Global Future Champions Week for Young Horses at the CSI2* in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.
Lisa and Lady Angeles placed fourth in the five-year-old two phase class with an all clear, 35.62 second effort. Seventy combinations started the class which was won by Laura Mantel (GBR) aboard Auroa in 34.55 seconds.
