The ESNZ Volunteer of the Month Award recognises the tremendous contribution that our volunteers make to the success and survival of our sport.

May 2019’s Volunteer of the Month is the fabulous Fiona Bentley from Wellington who is involved in showjumping as an official and judge.

Many involved in showjumping will know (and love the work Fi does) or at the very least recognise Fi as one of our most stylish officials.  Her commitment to the sport and the uncountable hours she has spent judging and officiating at so many events, over so many years, is humbling and inspiring in equal measure.

Aimee in the ESNZ office nominated Fi and noted on her nomination form how Fi works “tirelessly for our sport and what’s more shares her considerable knowledge and expertise” generously and graciously. Aimee said Fi has “inspired me to want to train as a judge!”

A thousand thank yous Fi, with people like you, the future of our sport is in good hands.

ESNZ Volunteer of the Month receives a gift in recognition of their contribution; Fi’s is on its way to her.

Fi’s nomination came about from ESNZ having a ‘ESNZ Volunteer of the Month’ nomination box at Horse of the Year and in our Wellington office into which our members have popped their Volunteer of the Month nominations. It doesn’t end there however, you can nominate your ESNZ Volunteer of the Month by emailing us at [email protected]  with Volunteer of the Month in the subject line. Please provide this information:
