Sponsors of the Taupo Veterinary Centre CCN105-L – Open

You’d be hard-pressed to find two people more entrenched in New Zealand’s top-flight equestrian and yet so involved at grassroots.

Vets Dr Tony Parsons and Dr Wallie Niederer have both travelled with New Zealand teams to the Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games. But these two are just as supportive of events and organisations in New Zealand. This year their Taupo Veterinary Centre are the sponsors of the CCN105-L, continuing to support an event they have been involved with for many years.

“We love it,” says Tony of why they are involved so heavily. “We enjoy the competitiveness of the NZ3DE and the pleasure of seeing people compete. I guess our involvement started out because of location and through that because of that the interest in the sport developed and you get to know the people . . . it is all about the people.”

Taupo Veterinary Centre – which is under the Tokoroa District Veterinary Services umbrella – will be providing the vet services to the event with Tony also the FEI veterinary delegate for the event.

The Taupo Centre is a genuine mixed practice that covers a large geographical area stretching from Turangi in the south to Litchfield north of Tokoroa, includes the western bays of Taupo, Reporoa and halfway to Napier. The practice has a large team of very experienced and dedicated vets, nurses and support staff. Their experience spans production animals, equine and small animals. Key to the businesses ongoing commitment to offering the very best to their clients is the drive by the whole staff to continue to upskill and keep abreast with the latest in technology and developments.
