Coach Representative Dressage NZ Performance Committee

Quality coaching is an important part of a horse and rider’s success as it is to the development and success of performance within our sport.

Terms of Reference

The successful applicant will operate under the Terms of Reference for the Performance Committee

 

The Role

  • The coach representative will provide advice, expertise, knowledge and support to the PC on coaching principles and perspectives.
  • Assist in the development of concepts and strategies that will contribute toward carrying out the operation of the PC program
  • Assist with the future development of a dressage related coaches program
  • Provide coach-development related advice and assistance and an overall regional perspective on training issues/development/ideas
  • Other projects as agreed with the Performance Committee
  • This is a volunteer position with approved expenses to include travel, accommodation and incidental items. A number of meetings will be held via Zoom to avoid travel time and cost

 

 

Credentials

Applicants should ideally have

  • Demonstrated experience of training own horses to Grand Prix level with associated competition experience
  • Demonstrated experience of coaching and training other combinations to a minimum of small tour levels

Tenure

  • From appointment until 30 June 2021
