The North Island Back on Track Premier League got underway with the Bay of Plenty Total Industrial Solutions Championships at the Taupo NEC, followed a few days later by the Manawatu & TRC Toyota North Island Championships at Manfeild Park.  Vanessa Way was all class at both events with her team of NSC Pronto (Prix St Georges) , NRM KH Arion (Int A/B) and NRM Andreas scoring seventeen wins from eighteen starts over the two events and scoring a Grand Prix Freestyle personal best of 73.775 with NRM Andreas at the NI Champs. Wendi Williamson was the only rider to edge past the Way dominance with a win in the Special at Taupo.

Wendi has her “red squad” the three bright chestnuts, Don Vito MH (Level 4), Bon Jovi MH (Level 5), Don Amour MH (Grand Prix) all fired up so it was unfortunate we didn’t see the Andreas /Donny Grand Prix rematch at Manfeild with Don Amour developing a foot abscess between events.

In the south Melissa Galloway also has a team of three that are looking in great  form and we look forward to her competing at the Wellington Championships this weekend
