Jonelle Price, Jesse Campbell and James Avery are all at the front of their fields at the end of the dressage at the Camphire International Horse Trials in Ireland.

Jonelle and Hester lead the CCI2* class, sitting on 26 penalty points with James Avery and Mr Sneezy on 26.8 in the 22-strong class.

Jesse is rapt with the efforts of Diachello, who is at the front of the 45-strong CIC2* class. Virginia Thompson and Star Nouveau scored 36.1 with Jonelle and Grappa Nera on 36.6.

James features in the CCI1* where he and Seaflower sit at the top of the leaderboard on 25 with Hollie Swain and Solo on 33.8.

Tim Price and Ascona remain in second place at the end of the dressage in the CCI3*, scoring 27.6 with Jesse and Cleveland in fourth on 29.1 and Tim right behind them with Kincooley Cruising on 29.9. Blyth Tait and Dassett Courage are well in touch on 30.8 with Jonelle and Kindred Spirit II on 37. Alex Hua Tian (CHINA) and Don Geniro still lead the 32-strong class on 22.8.

Tim is very handy in the CIC3* where he and Ringwood Sky Boy are in second on 27.3, and he’s also in fourth spot on Bango with a score of 27.7. James and Optimus Prime sit just inside the top 10 on 31.9, with Jonelle and Cooley Showtime on 33.7 and Blyth aboard Leo Distinction on 35.
Padraig McCarthy (IRE) and Mr Chunky lead the 36-strong class on 26.8.

But there is still plenty to come across all the grades with cross country and showjumping to follow over the coming days.
