Jonelle Price is looking to Luhumuhlen after finishing second aboard Faerie Dianimo in the George Mernagh Memorial CIC3* at the Tattersalls International Horse Trials in Ireland this morning.
The Kiwi combo finished on their dressage score of 28.3 penalty points, just behind winner Emma McNab (AUS) aboard Fernhill Tabasco on 27.1. “It was a great final prep run for Faerie Dianimo before we head to Luhmuhlen in a couple of weeks time,” she said.
Blyth Tait and Havanna were 10th on 39.4 with Jonelle Price 14th aboard Kindred Spirit II with their 46.2 effort.
James Avery and Vitali picked up a costly five faults in the showjumping to slip to seventh place on 32.3 in the Eventing Ireland CCI2*. The combination had led from the start, but relinquished the lead to Piggy French (GBR) and Cooley Monsoon – owned by Absolutely Fabulous TV star Jennifer Saunders – who finished on their dressage score of 27.4. Tim Price and Falco finished on 56.2.
In the CCI3* field, Tim Price and Cekatinka finished in 10th place on 37.8 penalty points. The duo added just 10.4 time faults in the cross country but were clear in the showjumping. Izzy Taylor (GBR) and Call Me Maggie May won the class on 28.5 penalty points. Blyth Tait and Leo Distinction placed 20th on 50.6 with Dan Jocelyn aboard Grovine de Reve 23rd with 53.3.
