Lucy Turner & Carbon – winners of the NZPCA Award @ NRM3DE

You could say Lucy Turner is a pony clubber for life, so it is fitting the 18-year-old from Christchurch today won the Best Performed Pony Club Rider at the NRM3DE today.

She and 13-year-old Carbon also placed fourth in the Bates CCI2* Championship, completing the class with 38.8 penalty points.

Turner is a member of the Halswell Pony Club where she loves to do a bit of coaching when needed. Turner started Pony Club at nine and has only had a few years off when it clashed with her hockey and riding. She’s in the Canterbury under-21 team and just recently won the national championships.

She is currently in her first year of a sports degree at Canterbury University.
