Equestrian Sport NZ has an opportunity for a senior communications and engagement manager to join its team for a fixed term six month contract. We need a solution oriented, problem solving, strategic thinking, forward focused Communications expert who wants to make difference.
ESNZ is a challenging and complex organisation but it is poised at a time that effective communications and stakeholder management is more crucial now than at any other time.
This is an exciting new role at ESNZ designed to drive member and stakeholder engagement and deliver on key communications objectives across the sport. You will need to be a fast learner, have the ability to do a million things at once, be a great writer and understand the dynamics of the changing communications world.
Experience and proven success at a senior level in communications, public relations, engagement and strategy is imperative. Sport and not for profit experience will be an advantage but are not essential. This job is not for the fainthearted – you will need to be highly motivated to succeed, confident in your ability to lead key strategic projects for ESNZ and be able to drive clear values based communications and culture change in the organisation and the sport.
The Communications and Engagement Manager will report directly to the General Manager. This position is based in the ESNZ office in Wellington.
