Sharn Wordley and Casper have placed fourth in the $216,000 FEI CSI4* at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Palm Beach in the United States.

Forty-three rather classy combinations started the class, with 11 coming back for the jump-off. The top fiver were all double clear, with winner Kristen Vanderveen and Bull Run’s Faustino de Tili coming home in 45.53 seconds, and Wordley and Casper stopping the clock at 49.86 seconds.

The Kiwi combination was also ninth in the $35,000 1.5m qualifier.

Meanwhile Bruce Goodin has had success in Poznan, Poland. He and Chagrannus were just in the money in the CSI3*-W Big Round 1.5m against the clock class, placing 12th. They were one of 13 to come through to the jump off where they picked up eight faults in 38.53 seconds. The winner, Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski and Chacclana were double clear in 34.98 seconds.
