Fresh from the Olympic Eventing Team Camp, Andrew Nicholson produced a great result in the Hickstead Eventers Grand Prix to finish 2nd.

Andrew left the Olympic training camp early to enable him to get to the famous Hickstead competition with his very smart up and coming horse Quimbo, owned by Deborah Sellar, who also owns Andrew’s Olympic mount Nereo.
“It was superb to jump in this class, and good preparation for the Olympics,” he said.

Irish showjumper Trevor Breen took out top honours in the Eventers Grand Prix with Grand National-winning jockey Robbie Power in third.

Andrew along with his Olympic Team mates, have now returned to their respective homes to make their final preparations before the horses move into the Greenwich stables on the 24th July. Some of the team will compete their other horses this weekend.
